Building software that values privacy, reliability, and thoughtful engineering.

I build software for communities I'm part of—from artists and developers to privacy-conscious users. My work spans operating systems, desktop applications, developer tools, and security software, with a focus on creating products that are transparent, maintainable, and designed to last.

Rather than rushing implementation, I prefer investing time in research, architecture, documentation, and design. Every project follows a structured engineering process where long-term quality is prioritized over short-term speed.

What I Build

  • Operating Systems
  • Desktop Applications
  • Developer Tools
  • Security Software
  • Creative Software
  • Open Source Projects

Engineering Philosophy

Every project begins long before the first line of code.

I believe thoughtful planning produces better software than constant iteration. By investing in architecture, documentation, and design early, implementation becomes a predictable engineering process instead of trial and error.

The goal isn't simply to ship software—it's to build products that remain understandable, maintainable, and useful years after their first release.

Engineering Principles

These principles guide every project I build.

  • Privacy before convenience
  • Security by design
  • Offline-first whenever practical
  • Documentation before implementation
  • Simplicity over unnecessary complexity
  • Quality over quantity
  • Long-term maintainability
  • Open standards where possible
  • Build for people, not metrics

Development Workflow

Every project follows the same engineering process.

Good software is rarely the result of writing more code. It comes from making better decisions before the code is written.

Current Priority

Mission OS is currently my primary long-term project.

Current work includes:

  • System Architecture
  • Desktop UX Design
  • Documentation
  • Engineering Specifications
  • Implementation Planning

Upcoming priorities:

  • Core System Development
  • Public Alpha
  • Stable Beta
  • Open Source Community Growth

Open Source

I believe open-source software should be approachable, well-documented, and engineered with the same level of care as commercial products.

Whenever possible, I aim to make my projects transparent, maintainable, and easy for others to learn from or contribute to.

Beyond the Code

Outside of programming, I enjoy 3D art, game development, interface design, and studying how thoughtful engineering and design can create software that people genuinely enjoy using.

Those interests often influence the tools and applications I build.

Software should solve real problems, remain understandable, and respect the people who rely on it.
