Summary

  • Rebase the cert-manager operand from v1.19.5 to v1.19.6.
  • Update operand image pullspecs (controller, webhook, cainjector, acmesolver), OPERAND_IMAGE_VERSION, CSV/relatedImages, bindata manifests, and CRD version labels to v1.19.6.
  • Bump the github.com/openshift/jetstack-cert-manager replace directive in go.mod / test/go.mod to the OpenShift fork commit for this release.
  • Pick up the upstream HIGH security fix (GHSA-8rvj-mm4h-c258): the cert-manager-edit aggregate ClusterRole no longer grants create on challenges, or create/patch/update on orders.

Note: This is a potentially breaking RBAC change. Challenge/Order resources are internal to cert-manager’s ACME flow. Workloads that create or mutate them directly will need explicit permissions.
