I'm a Design Engineer at utu design, producing CAD site layouts for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects.
Alongside project delivery, I develop internal C#/.NET tooling for AutoCAD, including design automation, drawing analysis and workflow utilities used across the wider team. I also work with Python and JavaScript.
Most of my production tooling lives in private repositories. My pinned public repositories are side projects built outside work:
- asciiwhatudidthere — a real-time ASCII-art renderer for webcam and 3D scenes, running entirely client-side with Three.js and MediaPipe.
- NuVec — a from-scratch Vectrex emulator written in C, featuring a Motorola 6809 CPU core, memory mapping and a cycle-driven vector display. It boots and renders commercial Vectrex ROMs; sound and controls are in progress.
I completed a BSc in Computing & IT with the Open University between 2019 and 2025, studying part-time alongside full-time work.
Since 2023, I have worked professionally with CAD in the renewable-energy sector, combining engineering design experience with software development to automate and improve technical workflows.
