A Stream Deck plugin to visualize real-time asset values

Installation

You can install the TickerTap plugin for StreamDeck by following one of the two methods described below:

Option 1: Manual Download

1. Visit the following URL to download the latest version of the plugin: Download TickerTap
2. After the download is complete, navigate to your downloads folder.
3. Double-click on com.matextrem.tickertap.streamDeckPlugin to install the plugin on your Stream Deck.

Usage

Type a company name, ticker or symbol in the Ticker field and pick a match from the search suggestions. Prices come from TradingView for most instruments, from Finviz for US stocks, and from CoinMarketCap for crypto. You can also type a TradingView EXCHANGE:SYMBOL directly (e.g. XETR:BAS).

• Stocks

  • US stocks (region America) use Finviz: e.g.
    • AAPL - Apple
    • GOOGL - Alphabet
  • Canada / Europe / Asia stocks use TradingView — search the company name and pick a match, or type the symbol: e.g.
    • BASF → XETR:BAS
    • IHI Corp → TSE:7013

• ETF

  • Search the fund name and pick a match (choose the ETF type): e.g.
    • SPDR S&P 500 → AMEX:SPY
    • iShares S&P 500 IT → XETR:QDVE

• Forex

  • EURUSD - EUR/USD
  • XAUUSD - XAU/USD

• Commodities

  • GC - Gold
  • SI - Silver

• Futures

  • ES - E-mini S&P 500
  • NQ - E-mini Nasdaq 100

• Funds

  • Search the fund name and pick an exchange-listed match (choose the Funds or ETF type): e.g.
    • iShares Core MSCI World → XETR:EUNL
    • Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust → LSE:USA
  • US open-end mutual funds (daily NAV, e.g. VSMPX) aren't available for live quotes — use their exchange-traded (ETF) share class instead, e.g. Vanguard Total Stock Market → AMEX:VTI.

• Bonds

  • Search the full yield name and pick a match: e.g.
    • United States 10 Year → TVC:US10Y
    • United States 30 Year → TVC:US30Y

• Crypto (from CoinMarketCap — get the name from the url): e.g.

  • BITCOIN - coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin
  • ETHEREUM - coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum
  • THE-GRAPH - coinmarketcap.com/currencies/the-graph

• Region: Select the region where the stocks market is from:

  • America - United States (Finviz)
  • Canada - Canada (TradingView)
  • Europe - European Union and UK (TradingView)
  • Asia/Pacific - Asia and Pacific (TradingView)

  Note: For non-US markets, the region helps the search pick the right exchange when several list the same ticker. You can always type the exact TradingView symbol (e.g. EURONEXT:MC) to be precise.

• Show as: Add custom ticker - e.g GOLD.

• Icon: Show/Hide the ticker icon if exists.

• Frequency: How often the stock prices are fetched: e.g.

  • On push - Every time the key button is pressed (default).
  • 5 minutes - Every 5 minutes.
  • 30 minutes - Every 30 minutes.
  • 1 hour - Hourly.
  • Custom - Specify a custom interval in seconds (e.g., 10 seconds).

• Currency: Select the currency you want to use for the price display (Only for Crypto)

• Gradient: Show/Hide the gradient background color on the tile

• Total: Show/Hide the amount owned multiplied by the price

  • Amount - Amount owned
  • Avg Price - Your average cost per share/unit (optional). When set, a P&L percentage is displayed below the total value, colored green or red based on whether you're up or down.

• Rising/Falling colors: Let you choose the color you want for Rising/Falling stocks.

Note: Long pressed the key button redirects to the ticker website.
