Removed usage of __init__, updated to also check for .url extension, as the type can also be "ASCII text, with CRLF line terminators"

Removed usage of init, updated to also check for .url extension, as
the type can also be "ASCII text, with CRLF line terminators"
The removed reference to the non-existing self.file caused an exception in tasks where it finds the
correct type of file to search.
