You're wrong. SquashFS has had xz support since 2011. There is no point in checking it, because all modern versions of SquashFS support xz and mksquashfs output will always return xz, but this support will not work if the xz utility itself is not present in the system. It is the presence of xz that the script should check for, not whether it is supported in mksquashfs.

Hi, thanks for the clarification. I thought that if mksquashfs has support for xz, it's because it's installed. This might be a solution, because on ArchLinux and Linux from Scratch, the LiveKit script doesn't detect xz even though it's installed. I'll try to get another output from xz. Thank you very much.
