πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄ IT operations apprentice from Norway

I like building, breaking, hosting, fixing, and occasionally over-engineering things.

Hei πŸ‘‹

I'm Mads, a 19-year-old IT Operations Apprentice currently working with IT drift, infrastructure, and system management at Knutsen OAS Shipping.

Most of my interest sits somewhere between AI, operations, servers, automation, and development. I enjoy the practical side of tech: getting systems to run properly, understanding why they fail, and making my own setup cleaner every time I rebuild it.

Outside work, I mess around with a small homelab, run services for myself, and try out tools that make infrastructure less painful.

I also use AI a lot β€” not just as a chatbot, but as a tool for learning faster, building faster, debugging faster, and turning random ideas into actual working projects. I like keeping up with new AI tools, models, workflows, and seeing how far I can push them in real projects.

AI is a big part of how I build

I use AI more than almost anything at home. For me, it is not about replacing the work β€” it is about getting from idea to prototype faster and learning more while doing it.

I have built everything from small useful tools to bigger web projects, including:

  • a simple YouTube link to MP4 downloader experiment
  • automation scripts and helper tools
  • AI-assisted workflows for testing ideas faster
  • a full anime browser/discovery website project
  • random homelab tools that solve very specific problems I created myself

Some of these projects are polished. Some are chaotic. Most of them taught me something.

Public projects

Most of my learning and work is private or local, especially the AI/homelab experiments, but I keep some public things here too.

  • Remappr β€” public project on my newer GitHub
  • subswipe β€” small public project
  • Tetris β€” game/dev experiment

Not everything here is meant to be polished. Some of it is just me testing, learning, or saving something I might want to come back to later.
