This PR provides:

  • The upgrade to MATLAB 2026a, tested on all the live examples and certified working with MatNWB 2.9.0. The new MatNWB version (2.10.0) has some issues with the live script and cannot currently be used. The issue was opened on the original MatNWB repo, and it seems that the resolution tends to be a necessary rebuild of some of the artifacts from the live-example with an updated version of the NWB schema. The resolution in MatNWB tends to point to a necessary modification in MatNWB to avoid triggering and error and yielding a warning instead (the issue is still opened and pending on MatNWB repository)
  • Rebuilt with the latest version of EXTRACT and CIATTAH and tested with those (tested in early 2026, between march and may)
  • Update the startup script to setup the DeepInterpolation toolbox properly and setup EXTRACT
  • Update the README to correct typo, add details and information about rebuilding, modifying and extending the image
