Is ProxyForge a virus? My AV / SmartScreen flagged it.
No. It's an unobfuscated Go binary you can scan on VirusTotal before running. It isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" on first launch — click More info → Run anyway. An AV quarantine is a generic heuristic false-positive on a new unsigned binary; restore or whitelist it. Signed builds will follow.

Where does the curated pool come from?
A separate server continuously scrapes, tests and ranks public proxy sources, then republishes the ranked list every 6 hours. ProxyForge starts every scan from that triaged list, which is why the alive rate beats grabbing raw lists yourself.
Why crypto (or an offer)? Can I pay with a card?
No cards by design — they bring chargebacks, fraud fees and stored payment data. BTC / ETH / SOL / USDT is confirmed on-chain and the unlock issues automatically. Or take the free offer path instead.
