📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v18 or higher)
• PostgreSQL (v14 or higher)
• npm or yarn

1. Clone the repository

2. Install dependencies

npm install

3. Set up environment variables

Copy .env.example to .env and configure:

cp .env.example .env

Update the following variables in .env:

4. Set up the database

# Create database and run schema
npm run db:setup

# Seed with initial data (skills, interests)

5. Run the application

Development mode:

npm run dev

This will start:

• Backend server on http://localhost:3001
• Vite dev server on http://localhost:5173
• Electron desktop app

Production build:

npm run build
npm run electron:build
