+Congratulations on your new Session Smart Routing (SSR) WAN Edge device!
+
+Let's get it set up in the Mist cloud with WAN Assurance. This guide walks you through the simple steps to get a new cloud-ready Juniper Networks® SSR400 router up and running in the Juniper Mist™ cloud portal. You can onboard a single device using your mobile phone, or one or more devices using your computer. Once onboarded, we'll walk you through the steps to create a basic configuration.

+## Connect Your Device to the Cloud
+
+SSR400 Series routers do not have a dedicated out-of-band management network port. Ports 0 (`ge-0-0`), 1 (`ge-0-1`), and 2 (`ge-0-2`) can be used to contact Mist for zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), and for Conductor remote management. 
+
+Ports 3 through 9 (`ge-0-3` through `ge-0-9`) can be used for LAN network connections.

+1. Connect an Ethernet link that can assign a DHCP address to the SSR device and provides connectivity to the Internet and Mist to any of the following ports: Port 0 (`ge-0-0`), Port 1 (`ge-0-1`), or Port 2 (`ge-0-2`). 
+
+    For device management, connect to Mist using port 2 (`ge-0-2`). You can also connect to Mist from one of the WAN ports 0 (`ge-0-0`) and 1 (`ge-0-1`) **only** when port 2 (`ge-0-2`) is disconnected, or does not have a valid DHCP leased address and default route.
+
+    Do not change the Mist management port once your device is powered on and connected to the Mist Cloud instance.

+2. Connect your LAN devices (Mist-managed Juniper EX switches, Mist APs, and other User devices) to any of the ports 3 through 9 (`ge-0-3` through `ge-0-9`).
