HikaShop Source

I would love to see a game changing source like HikaShop. I would even pay extra for just this feature as it would radically change all aspects of how products could be displayed on websites. Even if it just starts with basic product data, and grows over time it still would be a killer add-on as a new source.

Essentials for YTP 1.4 adds support for 3rd party DB sources, it might be a solid alternative to this request.

Well kind of. The 3rd party DB sources kind of work. It is not a full fledged replacement for a dedicated data source, not at all. Maybe if you ever enhance the relations capabilities and allow for relations of relations, then it might be a solution. Until then all we can hope for is using the DB sources of Essentials for YTP for very basic sources within Hikashop.
