### Why use FastDDM

Differential Dynamics Microscopy (DDM) is a technique that enables us to measure particle dynamics across multiple length and time scales using a unique image analysis algorithm. Using this technique, a microscope can be converted into a Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) . Bright-field DDM has been used successfully to study the behaviour of small proteins, colloids as well as bacteria.

Continuing the tradition of once-a-year group activities outside the workplace, this year the Somex group enjoyed a fun trip to [Römerstadt Carnuntum](https://www.carnuntum.at/en), the remarkable ancient Roman city on the outskirts of Vienna. The day was filled with fascinating history, guided exploration, and plenty of opportunities to relax, connect, and share a few laughs. It was a great chance to step away from our daily routines, strengthen team spirit, and create memorable experiences together.
