I want to bring to your notice that upon running the tests via the pytest command with the latest version of NumPy in requirements.txt and the Orbitize installation via git pull yielded the following errors:
Upon internet search, I found that 'product' has been changed to 'prod' in NumPy versions > 2.0. So I downgraded my NumPy to 1.6.4 for the CodeAstro environment. The tests were successfully completed but they took a toll on my new MacBook Air laptop with M4 chip as they froze my laptop and demanded 4GB of continuous RAM for 4+hrs. straight. I was able to finish them with a bit of patience after 2-3 tries.
Sarah replied on this issue that Orbitize has been upgraded with the latest versions of NumPy, a year ago. But still she'll look into it and confirm the same. So, raising this issue for that call of action.
