From 373ff15ff90cbd0e0127c3abd82ecaef6108b520 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Tj (bougyman) Vanderpoel" Date: Wed, 12 Aug 2026 09:50:40 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] fix: update references after the linear-cli-ex -> linear-cli / linear-cli -> linear-cli-rb repo renames Local remotes were already fixed (this repo's origin, and vendor/ruby-linear-cli's remote in both .gitmodules and its own checked-out git config). This is everything else that hardcoded the old names: - install.sh/uninstall.sh: repo= URL and state_dir (renamed now, not kept for backward compat - real installs against the old name are minimal, the tool shipped its first release only a day ago). Verified a full install/uninstall round-trip against the renamed state_dir and that the release download actually resolves at the new repo path. - Readme.adoc: 9 occurrences, plus caught and fixed one the blind rename would have gotten backwards - the "port of Ruby's linear-cli" link needs to point at linear-cli-rb now, not this repo. Left the 4 plain-prose "Ruby's `linear-cli`" mentions alone - verified via the Ruby repo's own gemspec (spec.name = 'linear-cli') that the gem itself really is still called that; only its GitHub repo got renamed. - .github/workflows/main.yaml: the container job's temp tarball filename (cosmetic only, no functional effect). - vendor/rubyists-homebrew-tap: bumped to the commit fixing its own homepage/download URLs (rubyists/homebrew-tap#2). CHANGELOG.md's historical release-please-generated links are deliberately left untouched - see #80 for why. Closes #80. --- .github/workflows/main.yaml | 2 +- .gitmodules | 2 +- Readme.adoc | 20 ++++++++++---------- install.sh | 4 ++-- uninstall.sh | 2 +- vendor/rubyists-homebrew-tap | 2 +- 6 files changed, 16 insertions(+), 16 deletions(-) diff --git a/.github/workflows/main.yaml b/.github/workflows/main.yaml index 5896dbf..eb7b535 100644 --- a/.github/workflows/main.yaml +++ b/.github/workflows/main.yaml @@ -315,7 +315,7 @@ jobs: name: Save the image to a tarball for Trivy to scan directly id: save run: | - tarball="$RUNNER_TEMP/linear-cli-ex.tar" + tarball="$RUNNER_TEMP/linear-cli.tar" ./ci/save_image.sh "${{ needs.burrito-package.outputs.tag_name }}" "$tarball" printf 'tarball_path=%s\n' "$tarball" >> "$GITHUB_OUTPUT" - diff --git a/.gitmodules b/.gitmodules index 96fb69f..10b152d 100644 --- a/.gitmodules +++ b/.gitmodules @@ -12,7 +12,7 @@ url = git@github.com:ash-project/usage_rules [submodule "vendor/ruby-linear-cli"] path = vendor/ruby-linear-cli - url = git@github.com:rubyists/linear-cli + url = git@github.com:rubyists/linear-cli-rb [submodule "vendor/drafter"] path = vendor/drafter url = git@github.com:jaman/drafter diff --git a/Readme.adoc b/Readme.adoc index c5464ec..359d6e1 100644 --- a/Readme.adoc +++ b/Readme.adoc @@ -20,7 +20,7 @@ and update issues without leaving your terminal. image::cinemas/listings.cinema.gif[] -This is an Elixir/OTP port of https://github.com/rubyists/linear-cli[linear-cli] +This is an Elixir/OTP port of https://github.com/rubyists/linear-cli-rb[linear-cli-rb] (the original Ruby CLI): same commands, same wrapper scripts (`lcls`, `lcreate`, ...), but shipped as a single standalone binary - no Ruby runtime or gem install - via https://github.com/burrito-elixir/burrito[Burrito], and @@ -36,8 +36,8 @@ You can run the CLI from the container image without installing anything.
