Here is a rough list of the roadmap for the crate - feel free to suggest changes or additions to this list

• serde_v8 is being deprecated, so we need to migrate away from it
  • Reference
• Tests for the extensions, especially node, need to be expanded. This is the path to making node support stable
  • See list in comment below
• Allow runtime changes to core extension loading. I am working on this now
  • The new ExtensionList structure takes care of this
• Find another maintainer to make sure there isn't another long period between updates when I am busy

Can you put any references of deprecation there? Probably I can take it.

I’d say that expanding tests should be our top priority overall.

TBH, I actually tried writing a similar crate before I found your crate. Since than I didnt dive deep much into the internals but I believe that I have overal understanding.

My personal wishlist:

• Stabilize max_heap_size - currently the crate returns something else than HeapExhausted
• Ability to alter specifier, referrer and kind before they hit any resolver.
  For example now I am using schema to be able to pass import resolving here.
  While I was writing, I realized that it’s better to work out this feature than to focus only on what I specifically want.

Added ref. above. The issue is that there is currently no adequate replacement. JsValue, JsFunction, JsPromise would all stop working

Agreed. I've overhauled the op whitelist to prevent issues like 0.12.0 again, and want to add tests and overhaul the book for all extensions. Esp. Node. There is at least one open node issue, and broadcast_channel is broken in 0.12.2 currently due to a change my tests did not catch

The resolve_import change I am unsure of

• On one hand, we do try to be thin and unopinionated
• But also violating the spec on resolve_import would put us out of step with deno proper and further complicate the module_loader API

Instead HeapExhausted there another error. I didnt dive deep yet. Last time I checked, I was able to reproduce this by simply running the example.

Totally justified, but it's not my priority yet.
