Answering directly: warehouse racking is a good fit for Pascal, and it does not need engine work — it needs content plus, for real racking, one parametric node. Two mechanisms already exist, and which one applies depends on the component: Static props — pallets, bins, boxes, drums. These are catalog items, authored as GLBs. The contract is in Parametric racking — selective pallet racking, cantilever, shelving runs. These are the interesting case, because nobody wants a fixed-size rack. Bay width, beam levels, upright depth and clear height all need to be adjustable, which makes it a node with a schema rather than a static mesh. If someone wants to pick this up, the pragmatic order is: static props first (immediate value, no review risk), then one parametric rack node done well. A single well-parameterised selective-racking node covers more real warehouse layouts than a dozen fixed meshes. Marking this as help wanted rather than doing it myself — it is genuinely well-suited to an outside contribution, and the two docs above are enough to work from without needing decisions from me. |
