Think about how the operationalizing should work

• Operationalization doesn't have to work the way it's done now if there is a better way
  • should the script be limited to creating a netcdf file that ends at the end of the previous month? (at which point the daily code would run)
  • or should it create a file up to the current day?
  • the decision about the best way to operationalize may depend on how long it takes to run?
  • maybe we don't need two processes (a daily and a monthly)? Can we instead run the code daily for the entire year? (or would this take too much processing time when we may be paying for cloud services)
