Merge recordings / append to existing project + return to recorder

First of all, thanks for building OpenScreen — I've really enjoyed using it so far.

I wanted to share an idea that came up during a real recording session.

Use case

During one of my recordings, something on my computer didn't work as expected (it wasn't related to OpenScreen). I fixed the issue and recorded the missing part afterwards.

The problem was that I ended up with two separate projects for what was actually one recording. I couldn't find a way to merge them or continue recording into the existing project.

Feature idea

It would be great if existing recordings could be:

Appended to (continue recording and automatically add the new footage to the end of the existing timeline)
Merged with another recording/project
Optionally cut/trim recordings (although trimming already seems like a reasonable workaround for many situations)

I think the most valuable feature would be the ability to reopen a project and simply continue recording, with the new recording appended automatically.

UI idea

Maybe both open and saved projects could include a "Return to Recorder" action.

Initially, I actually assumed this button would let me continue recording within the same project. Instead, I ended up creating a second project for the same topic.

Why this would help

Recording sessions don't always go perfectly. Sometimes you forget something, need to fix an issue, or want to re-record only a small section.

Being able to continue an existing recording instead of starting over would make these workflows much smoother and avoid creating multiple projects for a single recording.
