We can subscribe to a bridge, but have no DNS and no routing yet.

Do not forget about IPv4 while forcing through IPv6 ;-)

We might use a bridge without hairpinning to collect traffic, both DNS and DHCP.

I meant another feature of the bridge(8):

       isolated on or isolated off
              Controls whether a given port will be isolated, which means it
              will be able to communicate with non-isolated ports only.  By
              default this flag is off.

(Not sure if this is specific to hardware ports.)
