Trace Tags do not delete or reset in object list or in attributes once set

Describe the bug

When I - or + trace tags they don't actually get assigned to the object or traces once I have put one in, it can not be changed, deleted, or seen as changed or deleted in the oject list even if I refresh the object list.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Described above.

1. Go to '...'
2. Click on '....'
3. Scroll down to '....'
4. See error

Expected behavior

I should be able to make those changes and have them present in the Tag line of the trace and object attributes.
It should show up as changed in the Object list.
I would prefer not to have to refresh the object list -- see other feature request.

Confirmed this is a real issue. Setting tags from the trace palette or in the trace list does not work as expected. Will move to next on docket.

Click testing this, appears to work fine on macOS.
