Problem

Hello, im using the app scince a few days and i do have one, realy just one wish.

Change the Medication sceme!

If you have to take (for example) concir 5mg. 1‐0.5‐0.5
You need to cerate 2 drugs: concor 5mg for the morning an concor 2.5 ..........
Futhermoree i would realy love to use the logistics part but wit 2 different drug (althought they are the same) its not working any more.

Same if you need (some times) an additional dose ... is a 'different" drug and therefore the availabe storage is wrong ....

Please fix it. Im willing to help (if im able to)

As mentioned: 1 drug could have many du diffwrent time slots and maybee 'in case' deses and each dose could be different but the same drug

Thanks, this is a real limitation and you have described it precisely.

Today a medication is modelled as one drug with one schedule, so a split dose like 1-0.5-0.5 forces you to create two entries for what is physically one box of pills. The inventory and the logistics view then count against two separate stocks that never add up, and an occasional extra dose becomes a third phantom drug for the same reason.

The right shape is the one you sketched: one drug, one stock, several dose slots across the day, and an optional as-needed dose that draws from the same supply. That is a change to the medication data model rather than a small patch, so I want to plan it properly instead of bolting a second field on. I have recorded it as the next thing to design for the medication module.

The offer to help is appreciated. The data model is the part I want to settle first. Once it is written down I will say where a hand would land.

This is live now in v1.37.10, and you had put your finger on exactly the right thing.

A medication can take a different dose at each time of day now, all from the one supply. Your 1-0.5-0.5 case is one medication with three times: one tablet in the morning, half a tablet at noon and at night. Each time carries its own dose and its own unit count, so the box counts down by the right amount at each one and the logistics view sees a single stock instead of two. An occasional extra dose is an as-needed time on the same medication, drawing from the same box, not a third entry.

One thing worth knowing for medications you have already split into two entries: those are not merged automatically, because they are two separate stocks with their own history. New medications get the per-time behaviour straight away, and to convert an old one you recreate it as a single medication with the three times. A guided merge could come later if that turns out to be common.
