[Feature Request] support changing fan speed

I wonder if it is possible to add a cli for changing fan speed (or performance modes), so that scheduled tasks could be used to change it to a quieter strategy daily at nighttime.

I have also browsed projects like razer-ctl and MiniSynapse, but have failed to get a clue where to begin, so pointers are much welcomed. (even ways to try to make a binding for toggling Synapse profiles are appreciated)

You're 💯 in suggesting a Synapse approach (workaround) because fan speed is not supported by openrazer. An open effort in #1227 dates back to 2020, and even polychromatic had to abandon the feature because openrazer doesn't have it.

There's this other project that does have it, but it's talking to a daemon that only exists as a binary in the repo, so that's not a viable option. Assuming the project did achieve the feature, not sure... but assuming it did, it suggests that fan speen control is possible through the generic hidraw driver (a topic relevant to openrazer).

Entirely plausible.

So... is Synapse at all useful in the meantime?

Ideally upstream openrazer/openrazer#1227 has some success. Until that pull request resolves, one way or the other, the issue here (razer-cli#89) is a placeholder.
