Hello,
First of all, thank you for creating MGZ Tools. I've been using GzsTool.exe v0.2 to extract the DATA archives from Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
I have a question regarding gzs_dictionary. Does it definitely extract all files contained in the archives?
After extracting the English language files, I found the following text resources:
common.po – enemy dialogue/radio messages, possibly shared with TPP.
e20010.po – dialogue/text for the first main mission.
e20015.po – very similar dialogue for the first main mission; perhaps used on a later playthrough.
e20020.po to 1/e20070.po – dialogue/text for the remaining missions (e20070.po being the Raiden mission).
tape.po – cassette transcripts.
gz_backstory – story introduction from the main menu.
gz_announce_log – achievement/challenge messages (e.g. "X enemies killed").
gz_cassette – cassette titles.
hud – HUD strings, possibly shared with TPP.
item – item names and descriptions, possibly shared with TPP.
gz_loading_x36 – loading screen text, possibly shared with TPP.
gz_loading_xb1 – similar loading screen text for Xbox One.
gz_menu – menu text and option descriptions.
gz_mission – mission descriptions.
gz_quiz – quiz text.
gz_system_stm – system messages (saving, sign-in, etc.).
gz_system_x36 – Xbox 360 system messages.
gz_title – main menu titles.
gz_weapon – weapon names and descriptions.
However, I can't find the text used for the end-of-game sequence after completing the main campaign. I'm referring to the full-screen text that appears during the ending (I've attached screenshots on the bottom this topic. I also can't find the credits text shown during the cutscenes, although that's less important.
At first I thought those strings might be stored as textures. I extracted the FTEX files using FTEXTool, but the only relevant textures I found are under:
data_01\Assets\tpp\ui\texture\Terop\eng - these only contain things like character name cards shown during cutscenes,
And text used in the in-game manual/help screens (last screenshot).
Did I miss something during extraction, or are those ending texts stored somewhere else that GzsTool doesn't currently extract?
Thanks in advance for any information.
